Inside, Adison went to the kitchen to prepare dinner. I went to sit in the lounge and relax. When she joined me, she sat beside me.
I smiled at her but didn't know what to say. She smiled back and didn't speak. I felt aware of her in a way I never had been before with any other partner. I had not ever experienced this kind of electric chemistry before, this intense longing for another person.
'You have a good day?' Adison asked, sticking to a safe topic.
'Yes, it was fine,' I told her, 'Busy.'
'Yeah...Monday mornings eh?' she smiled.
I smiled back, wanting nothing more than to kiss her.
'How was your day?' I asked.
'Pretty samey. I was a little distracted today,' she laughed.
I watched her closely, 'Because of me?' I asked.
'Yes. I couldn't stop thinking about you.'
'It was the same for me.'
She smiled and then cleared her throat. 'I wonder if this will become easier,' she mused.
'What's that?'
'These feelings....It's never been this intense for me before.'
I smiled. 'It can be as easy or as difficult as we make it. How about we just enjoy each other's company and see where it goes?'
'You talk a lot of sense, Alex.'
I smiled. Adison and I ate dinner whilst sticking to safe topics of conversation. When we were done we sat on her sofa talking about our families and getting to know about each other more. When 10pm came, I decided I had better leave.
'I should go, Adison. I better go and get some sleep.'
'Okay. Do you want to come over tomorrow after work?' she asked.
I stared at her surprised, 'Really?'
'Yes! I'm enjoying getting to know you, Alex.'
'Me too,' I told her. 'I'd love to come.'
'Okay. Well I'll see you tomorrow.'
'Yes, tomorrow,' she murmured.
I planned on leaving but I couldn't walk away for some reason. Her eyes dropped to my lips and I wanted to kiss her again. Like magnets we were drawn together by some invisible force. Our lips met in a passionate kiss. This was what I had been waiting for all day. This was what I had wanted. Her lips explored mine and then our kiss deepened. I opened my mouth under hers and our tongues met and danced. My whole body tightened in desire and I pressed myself closer to her body. She moaned softly in response and pulled me tighter against her.
Her lips teased mine and I ached for her intensely. Our lips moved eagerly and I felt myself growing impatient for more, even though we were trying to take things slowly.
Adison eased back from me and I forced myself to calm my eager body. I breathed deeply and tried to relax.
Adison shook her head and sighed, 'I don't think this thing between us is going away,' she murmured.
'Me neither,' I replied quietly.
'I'll see you tomorrow night?' she asked.
'Yes. I'll be here.'
'Good night Alex.'
'Good night, Adison,' I replied and left quickly, before I was tempted to stay.
